Rooms and vineyard
A glorious symbol of the «Marca Trevigiana», Villa Barberina is one of the most fascinating buildings in Valdobbiadene and is now home to the elegant relais run by the Franco family.
Built in the early 18th century, Villa Barberina is listed among the Venetian villas. It belonged to the Piva-Viansson family of textile entrepreneurs for about a century before being purchased, in 2004, by Primo Franco and his wife, Annalisa. Interiors, furnishings, curtains and frescoes are still the original ones: a home and a museum where the charm of the past is present in its 18th-century style, which was fully restored to its original architectural grandeur. Behind the villa, as a sign of its agricultural history, we find the barchessa and the entrance to the Grave di Stecca vineyard, a unique feature in the panorama of the Valdobbiadene vineyards because it is surrounded by a stone wall.
